My reflections of my professional development will be included in my next status-report, since this report mainly deals with practical matters here at Länsikatu in Joensuu, Eastern Finland.
I live in a fully furnished 1bdr apartment 500 m from the University and 1 km from the city center. From my room I can see all of the sports arena. This includes 2 huge in-door arenas, swimming hall, 2 icehockey fields, 1 scating field, some of the University's buildings, a public school and a public kindergarden.
Since my arrival I have been enjoying myself both socially and professionally. The scenery is fantastic and the weather is doing it's best to make the landscape and outdoor experiences even more extreme than they allready are.
After 1 week in Joensuu I allready feel "at home" and can't wait to start my "new life" studying at the University of Eastern Finland.
